Beenleigh teens charged after stolen BMWs tracked to Logan

Two Beenleigh teenagers have been charged with 18 offences following a police investigation into two BMWs allegedly stolen from Brisbane houses and tracked into Logan.

Police said a red BMW 220i was stolen from a Normanby Street property at Indooroopilly about 10.30pm before being sighted in Graceville.

About 11.43pm, the car allegedly arrived at a Tobin Street property in Middle Park, where a black BMW X5 was stolen.

Police tracked the cars into Logan, locating the black BMW on Webb Street, Slacks Creek, about 1.15am.

A short time later, officers arrested two boys, aged 16 and 17, on Railway Parade at Bethania.

Detectives from Logan and Acacia Ridge charged each boy with nine offences, including unlawful use of motor vehicles, entering houses and attempted break-ins.

Both are scheduled to appear in Richlands Childrens Court on October 22 and Beenleigh Childrens Court on October 26.

The red BMW remains missing, with police appealing for information from anyone who sees the car.

Investigations are ongoing.
