Sports club helps burnt shop keep trading

A local sports club has stepped up to help a neighbouring takeaway shop damaged by a firebomb attack, offering it’s commercial kitchen so the family business can continue to trade.

P&J Snacks will operate out of the Rochedale Tigers rugby league club on Friday and Saturday nights, except not on Saturday 17 October when the club has a private function.

“When one of our local families is doing it tough, we stand beside them. When our community needs us, we open our doors,” the club said.

“We’re asking our members, families and the wider Rochedale community to get behind Andy and his family. Come down, grab some food, say hello and show them that our community is behind them,” the club said.

The club is at Ian Clarkson Field at Underwood Park.
