Economic breakfast brings Bendigo chief economist to Logan

Logan businesses and residents will hear directly from one of Bendigo Bank’s leading economists at a community breakfast at Loganholme this month.

David Robertson, Bendigo Bank’s chief economist and head of economic markets research, will speak at the Economic Update Breakfast at Fitzy’s Loganholme on Wednesday 28 October.

Community Bank representative Karen McDonald said Mr Robertson would break down economic trends and what they meant for Logan businesses, workers and investors.

“He will talk locally, so our local markets, local outlook, for small businesses, medium-sized businesses,” she said.

“He’s such a wonderful speaker — market trends, what affects us locally, what affects us at a state level and then national and international.”

Ms McDonald said the bank hoped to make the breakfast an annual event if locals supported its return.

Tickets cost $15, with proceeds donated to a local charity.

Ms McDonald said Logan Financial Services had reinvested more than $500,000 into local schools, clubs, charities and community groups in each of the past two years.

The breakfast runs from 7am-8.30am, with arrivals from 6.45am. Bookings close on 19 October and attendance is capped at 150.
