Kingston’s heritage-listed Mayes Cottage will host its first Winter Market on Saturday, 6 June.
The free, all-ages event will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm at Mayes Cottage House Museum, 20 Mawarra Street, Kingston.
Visitors are invited to bring a picnic, grab a hot chocolate, enjoy a sausage sizzle and spend time in the cottage grounds.
Market stalls will include homemade jam, honey, wooden toys, pottery, handmade crafts and jewellery.
The market also gives residents a chance to visit one of Logan’s historic sites.
Mayes Cottage was built by the Mayes family in 1887 and served as the family home for 100 years.
The house, outbuildings and grounds have had very few changes since that time and the property is now managed by Logan City Council as a house museum.
Logan Arts says the outdoor event is wheelchair accessible, although the cottage itself is not.
Service animals are welcome, but pets, smoking and alcohol are not permitted.
Onsite parking is limited, and visitors are encouraged to consider other transport options.
