Cyclist seriously injured in Beenleigh crash

A cyclist has been seriously injured after a collision with a car at Beenleigh.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of George Street and Main Street about 6.38pm on Thursday, 21 May, after reports a grey Mitsubishi and a bicycle had collided.

The bicycle rider, a 36-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a 33-year-old woman, was not physically injured.

Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash and are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
