A laundromat and tobacconist on Kingston Road at Waterford West were damaged in what police have described as a suspicious fire.
Emergency services were called to the fire at around 2.27am on Monday, 13 April.
Police allege a security guard was threatened during the incident. The security guard’s car was also allegedly damaged by the offenders.
Police declared the area a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
