Two 16-year-old boys from Loganholme and Rochedale South are among four teenagers arrested following a serious crash involving a stolen vehicle at Hamilton early this morning, 7 April.
Emergency services were called to Kingsford Smith Drive near Cooksley Street about 4:28am after reports that three cars, including a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover, a 2026 Mazda CX-60 and a 2024 Toyota Hiace, crashed.
Police allege the Land Rover had been stolen overnight from an address on Beverley Crescent in Broadbeach Waters.
The Loganholme boy and Rochedale South boy, along with a Capalaba boy, 17, and an Upper Mount Gravatt girl, 14, were taken into custody a short distance from the crash, police said.
All four were taken to hospital under police guard.
Two Toowong men, 25 and 30, travelling in the Mazda were also taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Toyota, a Spring Mountain man, 41, was not physically injured.
One person was trapped in a car following the crash, paramedics said. That person was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.
Investigations are ongoing, with officers from the Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch and the Brisbane Forensic Crash Unit examining the circumstances of the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information or dashcam vision to come forward.
Parts of Kingsford Smith Drive remained closed this morning as investigations continued.
