An Ashgrove man, 24, has been charged with drug possession after he was pulled over for speeding in a Springwood school zone, police allege.
Logan police patrolling a school zone on Dennis Road, Springwood, allege a Mazda 3 was travelling 11km/h above the speed limit.
After issuing the man with a traffic infringement notice, officers breath and drug tested the man after detecting the smell of cannabis.
The driver returned negative results for alcohol and drugs, but during a search of the Mazda, police allege they found 472g of cannabis and over $3000 in cash.
He is expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 30 March.
