Fourteen Logan artists are receiving more than $80,000 in funds from the city of Logan’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) to help them launch their work nationally and internationally.
The fund, provided by the Queensland Government and Logan City Council, supports the development of arts and cultural practices, including visual arts, craft and design, multimedia, film, theatre, music, dance, literature, and writing.
A total of $83,871 has been awarded in this round of RADF funding to the Logan recipients.
Mayor Jon Raven said the diversity of projects reflected the city’s creative scene.
“Every year we see a huge amount of creativity in the applications, and this round is a great example of that,” Mayor Raven said.
“From children’s books to feature film scripts and even a TikTok dark comedy series, the sky’s the limit when it comes to what can be achieved in Logan.”
