A Cleveland man, 25, has been charged with murder after police allege a three-week-old boy died from fatal internal injuries at a property in Greenbank.
On 18 July 2024, the baby boy was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition but had no obvious injuries, police said.
Four days later, the boy died in hospital.
Police said detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit and Child Trauma Unit began a long and thorough investigation into how the boy died.
Police said their investigations determined the boy died from internal injuries, which police allege took place at a Rosemary Street address in Greenbank.
The Cleveland man, who police said was known to the boy, is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
