Police arrested two boys, from Inala (14) and Cannon Hill (15), following several alleged property crimes.
Police allege both boys were involved “in a series of attempted burglaries, the unlawful use of motor vehicles (UUMV), and burglaries” at properties in the south Brisbane suburbs of Annerley, Camp Hill, Cannon Hill, Hawthorne, Holland Park, and Murarrie.
Police said they had charged the Inala boy with eight offences related to attempted burglary, burglary, and unlawfully using a car without the owner’s permission, which they allege took place between 20 and 26 December.
Police charged the Cannon Hill boy with 30 offences related to attempted burglary, burglary, fraud, and trespassing, which they allege were committed between 10 and 26 December.
The boys were arrested on Boxing Day and were expected to face the Brisbane Children’s Court on 27 December.
Police said their investigations into the matters were ongoing and asked anyone who may be able to assist their inquiries to contact them.
