A police officer from Logan has been charged with computer hacking.
The Queensland Police Service today released a statement saying the 23-year-old male constable has been charged with eight counts of misconduct in relation to public office, and 28 counts of misuse of a restricted computer.
“The officer has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 27 January 2026,” the statement read.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
