Several film screenings for Halloween are popping up in Logan, with two separate screenings to be held on Saturday, 1 November, in Greenbank and Hillcrest.
Greenbank’s annual Halloween Movie in the Park event will be held at Tivoli Park from 5pm on Saturday, 1 November.
The event, at which the film Hotel Transylvania 3 will be shown, is part of a series of Movies in the Park events that have been hosted by various organisations and companies around Logan.
Movies Under the Wineglass, which is held at Wineglass Park (under the Wineglass Water Tower) in Hillcrest, has become a community staple and runs movie screening events several times a year for locals.
Movies Under the Winglass, run by local Brad Eastall, will run a double screening of Hotel Transylvania 2 and Jurassic Park on the same evening, Saturday 1 November.
Executive general manager at AVID Property Group, Bruce Harper, who owns the Covella estate in Greenbank and hosts the Halloween Movie in the Park event, said the event aimed to bring community residents together.
“Our annual Halloween movie screening is one of our most popular events, becoming a well-known tradition in the community,” Mr Harper said.
“This year, the event will be hosted in our Tivoli Park, with the kick about space temporarily
transformed into an outdoor cinema – and if the little ones need to burn off some energy, there are several playgrounds for them to choose from.”
Bean bags will be provided at the Greenbank event. Free popcorn, ice cream, and paid food trucks will also be available at the event.
A competition for the ‘best-dressed’ Halloween costume in attendance will also be held on the night.
