A taxi driver’s car and phone were stolen after he was threatened by a man at Slacks Creek last night, according to police.
Officers are asking locals with any relevant information to contact them.
Police said that at about 10pm on 29 September, a man entered a taxi on Smith Road and “threatened the driver before stealing the vehicle and the driver’s phone”.
The driver was not physically injured.
The taxi, a green Haval Jolion Wagon, was found abandoned on Smith Street near the intersection with Christopher Street a short time later, according to police.
The man is described as Caucasian with short, blonde, curly hair and tattoos on his neck and arms, wearing black pants and a hoodie.
Investigations are ongoing, police said.
