Fundraiser to match donations made to Logan Hospital for one day only

ALL donations up to $10,000 made to the Logan Hospital Fund will be doubled for 24 hours on 4 September..

Members of the fund are calling on local families, hospital staff and other community members to “give big” for the day, with all money raised promised for research, patient support, equipment and staff education.

The fund’s community partnerships manager Ellen Dann said donations often helped the hospital pay for projects frequently left out of government budgets.

“Logan Hospital Fund is the place to give for anyone who wants to thank the hospital staff for their care and contribute to improved health outcomes for the Logan community,” she said.

“For one day only, we will match every donation up to $10,000 to Logan Hospital – that means a $50 donation turns into $100, $100 equals $200 and so on.

“Give Big for Logan presents a unique opportunity for the local community to thank the amazing healthcare staff of Logan Hospital for the exceptional care they provide every day.”

The fund’s latest feats include funding a research project by hospital psychologist Michelle Porter and the installation of several decals for the palliative care ward.

“The decal project is a wonderful example of how donations can make a real difference in the patient experience,” Ms Dann said.

“The decals illustrate the type of impact we’re able to have thanks to our donors. It’s a project that may not have happened without us because it’s not something that would normally be funded by government budgets.”

Donations can be made online via givebigforlogan.org.au
