A crime scene has been established at a Woodridge property after a man was shot in the leg on Monday 28 July.
Police say officers were patrolling North Road at about 8pm when they were approached by a 30-year-old man claiming he had been shot.
The officers applied first aid to the Browns Plains man before he was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“Initial investigations indicate, just before 8pm, the Browns Plains man was involved in an altercation at an address on North Road, resulting in a gunshot wound to his leg,” a police statement read.
“A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing.”
Police believe those involved in the incident were known to each other and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage that could assist police in their investigations is urged to come forward.
