Home renovations continue to be a luxury few can afford in this economy, where the price of building materials and trade labour are rising by the minute.
Here in Logan, fully renovated properties that are ready for families to move into are in high demand in Logan, McGrath Springwood estate agent Teza Fruzande said.
“We have experienced a lot more owner occupiers in the area [Woodridge] that want to buy something to live in,” he said.
“When I say owner occupiers, I am referring to people who want to buy and live there.”
Mr Fruzande is currently selling 20 Yurugu Street in Woodridge, which has been fully renovated since it last sold in 2018.
“The property’s been fully renovated. Compared to what’s on the market, this definitely stands out as a lot better,” he said.
“This is more suitable for people because it’s already been done up, and it’s got a really nice yard for kids to play.
“I really appreciate the owner putting a lot of effort into the renovations; they have made it very homely.”
Internally, the home’s upstairs area has been transformed into a four-bedroom floor.
The living area has been moved downstairs, and an additional bathroom has been added on the same floor.
Mr Fruzande said the home was located conveniently close to Trinder Park railway station and in a cul-de-sac area, providing community and low-level car traffic, solidifying its status as a “family dream home”.
So far, first home buyers and young families have shown consistent interest in the property, Mr Fruzande said, with many looking to get their foot in the door of the property market.
