A cherished property opens it’s door to new opportunity

No one else has lived in the 89 Lance Road property in Greenbank. The first and only owners have occupied the home since its original build in 1994.

Agent from NGU Real Estate, Chris Foenander, said that selling the property meant closing such a big chapter of their lives.

“Their kids still live in the area and their stories are still here, in a different way,” he said.

“But I think if you’ve been at a property [for that length of time], it’s going to have a lot of memories.”

Extensive renovations have been done since the 1990s, and the interiors have been fully reconstructed.

Mr Foenander said walls had been removed to open up the floor plan and depart from the 1990s style of compartmentalised home architecture.

Aside from major changes to the floor plan, the kitchen, bathrooms, paint work, and electrics have all been redone. Features desirable in the market, like walk-in wardrobes and a marble-topped kitchen island bench, have been installed.

“It’s been redone from top to bottom, with all those things that are desirable in the current market have been introduced,” he said.

Greenbank is an are currently experiencing major developments. A new land estate, Everleigh, is a four-minute drive from Lance St, a major shopping centre with supermarkets, a child care center,e and other facilities are an even shorter drive away, said Mr Foenander.

Yet, the property is tucked away in bushland surrounds, with few neighbours, striking a perfect balance of convenience and privacy.

“Where this property is, you are in  the bush, you’re in serenity, with peace, quiet, and privacy,” Mr Foenander said.

Equestrian facilities, built for the current owner’s daughters, sit at the back of the property. The stables have experienced about 10 years of flora overgrowth, but could easily be restored and used, Mr Foenander said.

“Two of the daughters, I believe, were horse riders, and they had horses on the property. That’s why they’ve got stables at the rear section of the property,” Mr Foenander said.

“If you were to clear that all back [the overgrowth], you’ll have a beautiful level platform for equestrian, or for anything else that you need.”
