Police body-worn camera footage has captured the moment officers arrested a man in Rochedale South following an alleged armed robbery on 31 March.
Officers were called to a Belconnen Street home just after 11.20am after reports of a break and enter at a residential property.
“Initial investigations indicate a man armed with a knife was confronted by a 73-year-old resident inside the home. The man allegedly threatened the resident before fleeing on foot,” a police statement said.
A second resident, a 69-year-old woman, phoned police while the male resident followed the man down the street.
Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch located a man nearby and took him into custody.
A 28-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent, armed robbery, and wilful damage.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 22 April.
