Imagine the possibilities

A youtube video has been uploaded – “Beenleigh youtube video raises eyebrows”.

I believe that great  change IS coming, and the time is definitely right. New suburbs surrounding Beenleigh like (Brookhaven 1800 plots) are ready to be built. Others like Somerfield, Bahrs Scrub, Woodlands etc are adding to this future population growth.

This comment is about the video!!!

Rob, your point is so timely and point taken – what can be done to make Beenleigh progressive for the people who will live here?.

History is easy to use to highlight personal concepts or feelings – your video sets the stage well. Your historical points and coverage are excellent – many issues that most people will never find out themselves.

Your view of the current Beenleigh “town relevant”  situation is very correct in both summation and also facts – the governmental view of management is history now.

So what is the horizon potential?  Figures are “considerations” SO HERE GOES.

Population growth around Beenleigh  is likely to be (currently) 10,000 (40,000 within 15 klms of the town centre).

With the growth of specific “new suburbs” the expected figure is 80,000 by 2030.

I have a vision overview of the area – I have called it Destination Beenleigh (or Destination Be.)  My slogan for Beenleigh is  “Imagine the Possibilities”. I believe that we can make our town a shining destination for 1 million plus visitors every year – all CBD concentrated.

[1] A university complex – 15 storeys –  of Technical education – Robotics, Nano Tech, Genome, Blockchain, Energy Tech, Virtual Reality & Augmentation, Quantum Computing, 5D tech, and Artificial Intelligence. 10,000 visitors p/a.  Change the dynamics of the people who visit Beenleigh, and Beenleigh will change.

[2] An entertainment complex – 15 – storeys – Trade show floors for thousands of visitors per show, Musicals and ballet, convention centre for international speakers and events, halls for corporate functions – hundreds of visitors daily. 500,000 visitors p/a. Change the dynamics and the people who visit Beenleigh – and Beenleigh will change.

[3]   Tourism in a multi-story facility –  A Queensland Visitors Centre, Aboriginal floor, Pacific floor, digital floor, a family floor for travel agents etc. 150,000 visitors p/a. Change the visitors – change Beenleigh.

[4]  A building to cater to locals – sports and social organisations and clubs, a social hall for gatherings (tiered),   a place for Seniors, and senior community group venue.250,000 visitors p/a.

[5]  A hospital Training hi-rise complex – with student accommodation and parking.5,000 visitors p/a.

[6]  Beenleigh Stadium for sports like Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Tarraza, Hockey etc etc.25,000 seat for a regular visitor count that will change Beenleigh forever, bringing it into the next fifty years to cope with the expected population growth.    150,000 visitors p/a.

History will never change – but the Beenleigh future is up to us to visualise and then plan.

I want a different Beenleigh than the one that we see here every day. It will take a decade to make these changes, but only if WE make the plans and then follow through – find those who will action them.

“Imagine the Possibilities”.

Destination Beenleigh
