Logan residents have the opportunity to take action against fire ants this weekend, with free yard treatment kits available at multiple Bunnings locations on Saturday, 8 March.
The kits, provided by the National Fire Ant Eradication Program, will be available at Bunnings Bethania, Browns Plains, Logan Hyperdome, and Underwood from 9am to 1pm.
Both property owners and tenants are encouraged to collect a kit and contribute to efforts to reduce fire ant populations in the region.
Council officers will also be present at the Bunnings locations to answer any questions about ongoing fire ant treatment on public land.
