Changes to Logan’s school bus network

Dozens of route changes and additional services have been added to Logan City’s school bus network.

Translink said new bus services were introduced in new estates and expanded in
areas experiencing growth.

“In addition to improved coverage, the changes help to address reliability, safety, and reduced run times and transfers for many school bus users,” a statement said.

Some changes are a result of new school bell times, while other changes were made in response to requests from students, schools, and the community.

Alterations to the Clarks bus services include 10 changed routes, two new routes, and one removed route.

A new route, 4117, has been added to reduce overcrowding on the existing 4111 and 4112 routes.

And Route 4133 has been redirected to Logandale Boulevard so students no longer need to cross a busy road.

There have been 46 route changes, two additions and two removals to the Park Ridge Transit services.

These include new morning and afternoon services for the newly opened Corymbia State School, multiple route realignments to increase operational efficiency, changes to several routes to ensure students are on-time to school, and the removal of routes 6064 and 6164.

More to come.
