Jimboomba collision sparks investigation after teens injured

Police are investigating a two-car crash that hospitalised two 18-year-olds at Jimboomba last week.

At approximately 5.45am on 10 January, a silver Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling north on the Mount Lindesay Highway when it collided with a white Toyota Corolla travelling south near the Brisbane Street exit, according to police.

A Logan Reserve woman driving the Corolla suffered serious injuries, police said, while a Gleneagle man driving the Lancer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

“Investigators are appealing to any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward,” police said in a statement.

“Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing.”
