Open mic night
Join the weekly open mic and live music jam at PCYC Crestmead. Every Friday from 3.30-5.30pm, participants aged 12-25 collaborate on songwriting, record the music, and perform it at local events. Free and open to all during school terms. Call (07) 3805 4100.
Rotary meetings
The Rotary Club of Beenleigh holds weekly meetings every Wednesday from 6-8.30pm at Beenleigh Sports Club. Members gather to discuss community projects, hear guest speakers, and take action. All are welcome; RSVP by 10am Wednesday for seating and meal allocation.
Fun & Fit Over 50
“Fun & Fit Over 50” is a weekly movement program for seniors aimed at improving mobility, strength, and coordination. Held every Thursday from 9.30-10.30am at Amputees Queensland, Logan Central. Comfortable clothing, a towel, and water are recommended. RSVP to Lynda at 3290 4293.
Arts and Craft for Ladies
The Park Ridge Community Ladies Arts and Craft Group meets weekly on Thursdays from 9.30am-12.30pm at Park Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere working on crafts or simply socialising. No registration fee, but a small monthly donation for supplies is appreciated. No children allowed.
Community outreach
Rosies Friends on the Street runs outreach every Monday from 7-9pm at Eagleby Wetlands, Logan Street. Volunteers provide support, friendship, food, drinks, toiletries, and a listening ear to those in need. All are welcome to join for a casual chat and to offer assistance to others. Phone 0407812914.
