About 200 residents at Elements Retirement recently celebrated the year of the Ox with their families.
They invited children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the 1000 square metre clubhouse to share an eight-dish banquet cooked by the development’s owner Chiou See Anderson.
There was a lion dance performed by Hock Chong Martial Arts School.
The lions pranced to the beat of the deafening drums before weaving their way through the tables to accept offerings of red packets from the audience.
The eldest resident at the party Jill Martinek concluded celebrations by having the honour of handing out red packets containing lolly money to all the children present.
