Eagleby residents are finally seeing progress on an unfinished, major drainage project after months of limbo caused by the collapse of one of Queensland’s largest road construction companies, Allroads.
Since the project’s new contractor, BMD, started work on site in May, two roads have re-opened – Roebuck Avenue and Endeavour Parade – and 109 stormwater gullies and pits have been installed.
Council said 25 streets have completed underground stormwater pipes and gullies, as well as new kerbs and channels.
With underground works across the suburb close to completion, council said seal and asphalt works would start soon.
