At 103, Elma just keeps moving

Born in 1918, Elma McClellan was raised in the roaring ’20s, spent her teens in the ’30s and was a young woman when the second world war broke out.

During the war years, she and husband Ray moved to Albury where Ray was in the air force.

They had three sons, and in Elma’s later years, she and Ray moved to the Gold Coast to be closer to their five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

After Ray passed away from illness Elma moved into residential care where she stayed for 12 years and had many friends, however she’s recently moved into Infinite Care at Cornubia which is even closer to family.

She loves talking to people and is looking forward to meeting other ladies.

Her secret to logevity? “You must keep moving,” she says.
