I am excited to introduce the inaugural Forde Volunteer Appreciation Awards to recognise and thank individuals and community organisations for their hard work and dedication to the Forde community.
Every year, many individuals across my electorate of Forde freely give up their time and energy to make our community a better place by volunteering.
From helping in our schools to lending a hand during a natural disaster and everything in between, volunteers make a significant and lasting contribution to our community.
This year, I am asking you to help me honour the volunteers in our community for their selfless dedication and community service.
2024 Forde Volunteer Appreciation Award Nominations are now open.
Do you know an individual or local community organisation that goes above and beyond to serve others, someone who demonstrates outstanding qualities?
If so, please consider nominating them in the Forde Volunteer Appreciation Awards.
Nominations can be made in the following four categories:
- Community Organisation – recognises Not for profit organisations in Forde.
- Young Volunteer of the year – recognises young people aged 25 years and under.
- Volunteer of the year – recognises individuals aged 26 years to 59 years.
- Senior Volunteer of the year – recognises individuals 60 years and above.
The awards criteria outlines that:
- Nominees must reside in the Forde Electorate.
- Individuals must be nominated in the category appropriate to their age.
- Nominee must have volunteered within the Forde Community.
An independent selection committee will be established to select the overall winner in each category. The decision of the selection committee is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be announced at the Forde Volunteer Appreciation Awards on Friday 24th May 2024, all nominees will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation at the ceremony.
