A man who was spotted roaming the streets of Loganlea allegedly armed with a sword has been arrested.
On Monday 19 February, a man was spotted and filmed walking along Rosella Street carrying what appeared to be a sword.
A local resident, Dylan Downs, told Nine News the man was “casing” houses.
“… you just don’t know what this guy is up to and you just sort of wonder how a guy like this can actually get a sword and actually own a sword like that,” Mr Downs said.
Police arrested a 41-year-old Crestmead man in relation to the matter later that day.
He was charged with “going armed so as to cause fear”, possessing dangerous drugs and failure to appear in accordance with undertaking.
The man appeared before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday (February 19) and is expected to re-appear on March 19.
