Five injured, truck driver trapped in Jimboomba crash

A driver was trapped in a truck on Wednesday (31 January) afternoon after a crash at Jimboomba.

The truck driver was one of four people injured in the crash, which shut down a busy intersection well into the night.

Ambulances were called to a multi-vehicle crash at the corner of Mount Lindsay Highway and Tamborine Street just before 5pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics assessed five patients at the scene, including a truck driver who was “initially entrapped”.

The spokesperson said the driver suffered back and abdominal injuries.

Only three of the five patients were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
