DeBrenni Newsletter – It’s been another huge year but we made it!

I’d like to start by saying a big thank you for everything you’ve done throughout 2023.

Whether it’s been in your work, your volunteering, your home, our neighbourhood.

There are more people in work, people are safe and well, and everything’s going ahead.

Christmas is the time of year that we come together to celebrate the year that’s been.

Since last Christmas our community has seen:

  • Better Transport with the M1 expansion and Busway extension continuing to progress, more active transport with the Veloway extension and new electric buses.
  • Better Healthcare, with the expansion of the Logan Hospital, and the soon to be open Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital.
  • Better emergency services, the Mount Cotton Road Fire Station is in the final construction stage and will be operational in the coming months.
  • Better schools, including a new hall, new and renovated classrooms and new oval.
Plus we’ll keep working on better sporting facilities for local athletes to help them to be 2032 Ready for the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Whether you’re traveling this Christmas, or you’re looking forward to seeing your loved ones from interstate or overseas, or you’re one of those awesome people who keep everything going by being at work over this period – please have a happy and safe festive season.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
