Sparkling in Shailer Park

The scrupulously designed home tucked away on 51 Dane Court at Shailer Park doesn’t need any additions, its current owner says, but there is still room for new owners to put their stamp on it.

The home, owned by long-time local Elizabeth Simmons, was built in 2012 and is now on the market for the first time.

It was designed by a friend of Ms Simmons, to whom she gave complete trust.

“He just said “you’re going to love it”, so we left him to it,” Ms Simmons said.

A resident of Shailer Park for over 30 years, Ms Simmons is finally changing scenery and down-sizing.

“We love Shailer Park – we’ve been here a long time,” she said.

“So, it does feel strange.”

The home sits on a 1000sqm block.

The gardens have been designed for minimal and easy maintenance, while also offering “tranquil bushland surrounds”.

Inside are two living areas, a “designer” kitchen and four bedrooms.

The master bedroom is privately positioned and features a private deck and spacious ensuite.

The ensuite has a floating vanity, a soaker tub and large window panel through to the bedroom.

There are a total of two full bathrooms plus a toilet room and vanity.

The main bathroom features a sleek dark brown floating vanity, a large shower and a soaker tub.

The kitchen, which is set to “wow” with its colour palette and island bench, offers a full range of appliances.

These include a pyrolytic (self-cleaning) electric oven, new electric cooktop, dishwasher, stone benchtops and pantry with pull-out drawers.

Ms Simmons couldn’t pick just one highlight of the home.

“There’s the high ceilings, the privacy, the large size of the bedrooms, the outlook onto the bush, the wildlife – wallabies and beautiful birds – and the architectural design – it doesn’t need any work, but you can if you want to,” she said.

“The home is really easy to maintain.

“There’s the potential to do whatever you want.

“The house doesn’t need any work done to it, but if you want to put in a pool in you can.”

Another bonus, Mr Simmons said, was the local community.

“It’s a really good neighbourhood – very quiet,” she said.

“I think a family with kids – maybe aged 10 or over – would be the perfect buyer.”

RE/MAX Revolution sales agent Mark Coleman said the property was one of the “more contemporary properties in the area”.

“One of the many highlights is the architectural design of the property which allows for natural light and breezes throughout the home,” he said.
