A 61-year-old man has died after an alleged beating at a property on Stoney Camp Road at Park Ridge South.
The alleged fight between the man and a 33-year-old Park Ridge South man broke out on 29 September.
Emergency crews were called to the property at around 7.30pm, following reports a man had been struck in the head, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was allegedly hit multiple times.
“Upon arrival, a 61-year-old Park Ridge man was located with serious injuries,” police said in a statement.
He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, but passed away 11 days later on Friday 10 October.
A crime scene was declared at the property, and the 33-year-old was located nearby and charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
Following the man’s death, the 33-year-old’s charge was upgraded to murder.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
