Go-Karting

Ready, set, kart! Join us for an exciting day of go-karting and arcade games at Kingston Park Raceway on September 19 from 2pm. You’ll receive two go-kart races plus unlimited arcade games. Please wear fully enclosed shoes. Ages 10+.

Meditation

Everyone is welcome to this breathwork, yoga and meditation session on Sunday 24 September at Boronia Bushland reserve. The session will start 7.30 and run for one hour. Attendees will learn basic breathwork techniques, yoga, and sound healing meditation. The session will end with an open discussion about “anything and everything”. Contact admin@earthlysage.org

Logan East playgroup

Logan East Littlies Playgroup is on Monday 18 September for children aged zero to five years. The playgroup is an opportunity to meet new families and children. It is held at the Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre. Contact 07 3808 4529 or email admin@lecna.org.au

Fishing competition

The annual Pest Fishing Cup is on again this Sunday 24 September at JJ Smith Park. This family friendly event is for those wanting to learn more about sustainable fishing in Logan, and for those seeking a day of fishing fun. By competing, participants will help to remove Tilapia, Carp, Goldfish, Koi and other introduced fish from local waterways. Prizes will be given away. Tickets are available from $5 per person or $15 for a family of four.

Kids book sale

Scholastic is holding a warehouse sale this Wednesday 2o, Thursday 21 and Friday 22 September. Held at the Crestmead Scholastic Warehouse (103 Magnesium Drive, Crestmead) there will be thousands of children’s books, including picture and chapter books, novels, and activity items on sale. Children’s books 50%; a $2 hot title selection and $45 fully-packed boxes of books.

Global Food Markets

This farmers market includes a large range of Asian/ethnic fruits and vegetables, with over 100 authentic food stalls serving freshly made breakfast cuisines from around the world. Free entry and free parking available. Open this Sunday 24 September, from 6am-12pm (rain, hail or shine). Location is on Croydon Road, Woodridge (opposite the Woodridge train station).
