Double commitment to climate smart energy

Logan residents are set to secure even more support following a decision by the Queensland government to enable an estimated 40,000 additional Queensland households to get cash back on energy efficient household appliances.

The Climate Smart Energy Savers program is part of the government’s continued plans to ease cost of living pressures and help local families bust bills.

Funding for this initiative was doubled earlier this month, meaning even more Logan households will be able to access cash back on new energy efficient appliances with a four or more-star rating.

Households can save hundreds of dollars by purchasing new energy efficient appliances, with rebates ranging from $300 to $800 for standard households, and from $550 to $1000 for low-income households.

“Not only will offering cash back on energy efficient appliances mean local families pay less for white goods, but it also means ongoing savings off power bills for years to come,” a government statement read.
