Funding for family history

The Logan River Family History society has received more than $10,000 to help upgrade equipment.

The group of locals that like to “research and preserve the history of our ancestors” is one of the latest recipients of the state goverment’s The Gambling Community Benefit Fund, designed to help not-for-profit community groups provide services, leisure activities and opportunities.

With its $10,339.70 funding, the society will purchase a new computer, book cart and office chairs.

Another recipient of the grant was the Logan City State Emergency Service, which will use its new $44,798.18 to purchase an all terrain vehicle and trailer.
