Let’s think about what we need

Being a local resident of Bethania I have taken great interest in the proposed rail trail.

My experience with government at all levels is they usually do what they want and only pretend to listen to residents.

The fact that Palm Lake did not even appear on the first map of the rail trail route the council put out tells me how important Palm Lake is to the council.

Then I look at the cost and wonder just when the council will consider the push bike crowd and do something to help them get from Loganlea to Meadowbrook without carrying their pushbike up 35 steps and down another 35 steps to get across the rail line.

This must be a real effort for smaller school students trying to get to school and home again.

So council, what about spending money where it is needed rather than just wanted?

Bethania.
