Families across Logan are feeling the results of global inflation on everything from the groceries, to the rent.
As a result, we are all trying to find ways to save on our household budgets.
The good news is, the Palaszczuk Government has announced another new cost of living initiative, one that can save local households thousands!
Households that purchase an energy efficient fridge, dishwasher, dryer, or other household appliance, can get up to $1000 back from 4 September.
And with an oppressive summer looming, savings can even be made on air
conditioners.
This comes on top of electricity bill rebates of $550 and $1072 for senior and concession card holders.
With an El Niño weather pattern forecast, on top of climate change already pushing up temperatures, it’s a relief to know that whilst household appliances can account for around 30 per cent of home energy use, choosing a four-star option, could save hundreds of dollars a year, and reduce Queensland’s carbon emissions by thousands of tonnes each year.
Our latest cost of living measure not only helps local households purchase a new appliance if they need it, but means you can save money and help cut emissions for years to come.
