Queensland Fire Service have urged Logan families to make fire safety a top priority these school holidays.
Since the beginning of 2022, QFES have attended more than 350 house fires in south-east Queensland, with more than 1330 across the state.
Winter is Queensland’s peak house fire period, so QFES have asked parents to educate their children about fire safety and to sit down with them to establish and practise a fire escape plan.
A QFES statement also warned people to be wary of the “hidden dangers” of appliances such as heaters and electric blankets.
