Logan’s new lifestyle chair appointed

Councillor Tony Hall has been announced as the new chair of Logan City Council’s City Lifestyle Committee, a month after predecessor councillor Laurie Koranski was appointed Deputy Mayor.

Cr Hall’s appointment was confirmed at Wednesday’s (24 May) Ordinary Council meeting, following a unanimous vote from fellow councillors.

He said he was honoured to be the new chairperson.

“The Lifestyle Committee is a very important portfolio and covers programs and facilities that I have been involved with for most of my life,” Cr Hall said.

“Without services like our public libraries, I wouldn’t have been able to get an education, and I look forward to ensuring our Lifestyle services in the City of Logan continue to maintain the current high standards.”

At Wednesday’s meeting, councillor Mindy Russell and councillor Natalie Willcocks were appointed co-deputy chairs of the City Lifestyle Committee.

The other Committee Chairs are:
• City Governance – Councillor Karen Murphy
• City Infrastructure – Councillor Teresa Lane
• City Planning, Economic Development and Environment – Councillor Jon Raven
