Low maintenance, enviable lifestyle

If you want the coveted lifestyle of Windaroo Rise estate without having to manage a new home build, Schultz Realty principal Sarah Schultz has the perfect alternative.

The sought-after Bahrs Scrub estate offers 2000sqm allotments, easy proximity to shops, schools and the M1, and some “ready-made” housing options such as the near-new home for sale at 39-41 Raid Rise.

“There are still a lot of vacant blocks in the estate, but this property gives you a chance to get into a sought-after gated community in a near-new home,” Ms Schultz said.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home is packed with high-quality features including a chef’s style kitchen with butler’s pantry, grand entrance and ultimate privacy.

The estate is renowned for its quiet bushland setting, generously sized blocks and easy access to the M1 for a commute to Brisbane, if necessary.

Ms Schultz said the wow factor of 39-41 Raid Rise was its expansive, never-to-be-built-out views.

“The estate is known for having plenty of green space and this home definitely has amazing views and elevation from the balcony,” she said.

“The backyard and shape of the block itself is really unique and is fully fenced at the back for children and pets.”

“For those who want an acreage style living but without the maintenance, this home is perfect.”

Built in 2016, the double storey home features extras such as ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, a 5.5m x 5.5m powered shed and large 8m x 5m inground pool with full decking.

Timber interiors blend with plantation shutters to create a contemporary yet homely feel, with a touch of country charm.

According to the Logan City Council website the suburb of Bahrs Scrub got part of its name from German settler Carl Wilhelm Bahr, born in 1840, with the “Scrub” likely to have come from Queensland newspaper correspondent Jimmy-bark Scrub who documented his time in the Logan district in 1866.

The name Windaroo came about because the Windaroo Creek rises in Bahrs Scrub, flowing east into the Albert River.

Bahrs Scrub State High School was first approved in 1993 but became known as Windaroo Valley High School by the time it opened, due to the name of the housing development being marketed at the time.

Bahrs Scrub became part of Logan City in 2008 due to Council amalgamation but was previously considered part of the Albert and Gold Coast Shire.
