A business at River Hills Road, Eagleby, was early Sunday morning robbed by a man armed with a knife.
Police are investigating after a man made demands for money and cigarettes from a man attending the store.
The attendant complied and was left physically unharmed.
The thief fled the store on foot.
Police, including the dog squad conducted extensive patrols around the area, however the man could not be found.
Investigators are appealing for public assistance to identify the man, who has a dark complexion, is approximately 170cm tall with a solid build and was wearing a blue jumper over his shoulders and black shorts. Anonymous reports can be made.
