Logan detectives are treating a house fire at Janice St, Logan, as suspicious.
They said at about 2.30am, emergency services were called to the fire.
The house had already been fully engulfed by flames when they arrived.
Ambulance officers said nobody was injured in the blaze.
Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for public assistance.
Police have declared a crime scene at the property and are waiting for the scene to be declared safe before conducting a full examination.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam or CCTV from the surrounding area, is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
