Santa safe and sound at carols

Santa visited Rochedale South recently for Christmas Carols at Underwood Park.

The man in the red suit was kept safe by Senior Constables Tom Lyons, Scott Muller and Sergeant Paula Purcell in the Rochedale Beat ATV.

Senior Constable Tom Lyons said it was a great night and that they were glad Santa was there to help spread road safety messaging with them.

“It was a great night and the kids really loved Santa in the ATV,” Senior Constable Lyons said.

“However, at this time of the year, unfortunately, we can see a lot of bad things happening on our roads.

“Santa also had a serious message about road safety, driving to the conditions, slowing down and being less aggressive on our roads in the lead up to Christmas.”

Logan Police have made a commitment this Christmas to target traffic offenders to keep the community safe and are asking drivers to own your responsibility to drive safe and encourage those you are driving with to do the same.
