Milton mango follows Logan lead

It might be controversial, but I reckon XXXX is Queensland’s favourite beer.

I’m a fan because it’s brewed here in Queensland, at Milton, where locals have been working for 145 years.

And now in even better news, it will be brewed using 100 percent Queensland renewable electricity.

Following the lead of Logan City and its renewable success, XXXX will be brewed using 100 percent renewable electricity after an agreement to power the iconic brewery at Milton with electricity from the Woolooga Solar Farm.

That’s right – the Milton mango will now be solar powered. Canned Queensland sunshine.

While we see a lot of change across the world, it’s the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan that has given local businesses the confidence to invest in decarbonisation.

So, with global boardrooms fast-tracking their decarbonisation efforts, we know that if we don’t act, we run the risk of being left behind. That means local jobs heading offshore and we can’t let that happen!

To remain competitive and grow our manufacturing industries, we can meet that demand with QLD-made low-emissions products.

The Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan lays out a plan to reduce household and business electricity emissions by 96% by 2040, protecting and growing Queensland manufacturing jobs.

These days, consumers want low-emission products, made in Queensland.  Initiatives like this are not only giving consumers what they want, but supporting job security of the local workforce.

So, I’m proud to be joining with XXXX and encouraging all Australians to ‘Give a XXXX’ about the planet, for the benefit of our environment, and for Aussie jobs!
