Logan Art Gallery has enjoyed success at the Queensland Gallery and Museum Achievement Awards for a sixth consecutive year.
The gallery collected an award for its exhibition project My story: the unbroken spirit of the Kalkadoons (Kalkadunga).
The exhibit featured truth-telling works by First Nations artist and former Slacks Creek resident Colleen Sam (Ngungurnnumma Kalkadoon) and furniture designer Keith Weribone (Mandandanji).
An outstanding achievement award was also presented posthumously to the late Robyn Daw, who led a Logan City Council team responsible for services and programs delivered through Logan Art Gallery, Mayes Cottage museum and the Living Museum of Logan.
She passed away in January.
