Police over the past fortnight have delivered 36 Christmas hampers to nine schools within the Browns Plains Police Division.
The hampers were delivered by Senior Constable Rebecca Hall, who is president of the Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco Association, together with Senior Constable Sean Mykytowycz and Constable Mitch Langford.
They delivered to Yugumbir State School, Regents Park State School, Boronia Heights State School, Park Ridge State School, Park Ridge State High School, Browns Plains State School, Browns Plains State High School, St Bernardine’s Catholic School and Parklands Christian College.
Each hamper had a variety of Christmas goodies and included a $50 butcher voucher for a leg ham.
“The hampers were put together by three of our many brilliant volunteers of the Browns Plains Police Blue Light Disco Association, Danielle White, Bryan White and Kylie Sutton,” Senior Constable Hall said.
“It was great to catch up with everyone at our local schools and we hope everyone loves their hampers.
“A further four massive Christmas hampers will be given out to the community in the coming weeks prior to Christmas.”
