Logan Central Plaza is getting a new real bearded Santa this year and it’s his first time on the job.
“Santa loves Christmas so I’m looking forward to everything, especially getting to spend some quality time with the wonderful Logan Central community,” he said.
“This year’s Santa set is a very bright and colourful set that will look fabulous in photos.”
Santa Terry has just moved up to Queensland and has never been a Santa before.
“We have just sold our home and moved to Queensland, so I guess that makes me retired. But for the last five years I drove a school run for special needs students,” he said.
“I thought being Santa would be interesting and I’ve been involved with children before, plus some pocket money is always useful when you enjoy travelling.”
And Santa does like to travel.
Santa Terry said his family are thrilled with his new job.
“My favourite part about Christmas is spending it with family and friends, and they are thrilled about this,” he said.
Santa will be at Logan Central Plaza daily until December 19 for photos and Santa visits. There will also be Santa pet photos every Sunday.
Santa Terry said the only thing he is nervous about is “what questions the children will ask.”
Santa Terry’s Christmas message to the kids of Logan is “you must be on your best behaviour as Santa is always keeping an eye on who’s naughty and who’s nice.”
