THE alleged president of the Logan chapter of the Rebels bikie gang, along with six associates, have been charged with more than 50 weapons, drug and burglary offences.
The major police sting, dubbed “Operation Uniform Neo” alleges that firearms were stolen from an Ottaba property at the end of August.
Several guns were allegedly found, along with evidence of marijuana growth rooms and dismantled amphetamine laboratories, at a house in Holloway Road, Chambers flat.
As a result, a 39-year-old Victoria Point man, who police will allege is the president of the Logan chapter of the Rebels gang, along with a 50-year-old Chambers Flat man and a 35-year-old Brisbane woman have all been charged with a combined 31 offences.
Charges include possessing and producing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine and cannabis), unlawful possession of weapons, possessing explosives and receiving tainted firearm/ammunition property.
The alleged president was due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today (September 19).
The two others are due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 12.
Over the course of the operation police will allege they located over 1kg of ice, 12kg of cannabis, seven firearms, a large range of ammunition, about $50,000 in counterfeit currency and two stolen cars along with other drugs and utensils.
Four other men, including one from Bethania and another from Browns Plains, were also arrested and charged with various drug trafficking, organised crime, weapon and criminal offences.
A 36-year-old Bethania man is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 30.
On September 27, a 38-year-old Browns Plains man is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court.
