A NEW two-storey adventure playground at Logan Reserve has high and low slide tunnels, additional swings, a play water pump and a basketball halfcourt.
The playground was opened on Saturday at Stoneleigh Reserve Park in Stoneleigh Reserve Boulevard.
Councillor Jacob Heremaia said the new facilities would be a further boost to what already is a popular local park.
“Logan Reserve is one of the city’s fastest-growing suburbs and it is important that council provides new and upgraded facilities that are needed by the local community,” he said.
The upgrade was funded by a pool of council funds managed by the local councillor.
Cr Heremaia said the design and colouring of the new playground complemented the nearby natural bushland area.
“Many families have chosen to live in this area and will definitely benefit from these well-designed improvements and upgrades to their local park,” he said.
“With equipment for children of all ages, Stoneleigh Reserve Park is going to be wellused and a much-loved destination for locals and visitors to the area.”
